CEO Things with Melanie Patterson

If you’ve spent any time on trucking Instagram, you likely know who Melanie Patterson is. She’s got her Masters degree, she’s a former ER nurse, and CEO of several companies, so she’s got more than enough chops to now start another division to her trucking company, Integrity Transit, by launching a knowledge center to help clear the air about working in the logistics industry. It was so much fun to chat with Melanie and learn about her career and how she tackles so many different things--all with a giant smile on her face. Hope you all enjoy this chat as much as I did. Links from the show: Melanie Patterson on Instagram and LinkedinMelanie’s companies: Integrity Transit, Integrity Knowledge Center~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Where to Find Digital Dispatch & Blythe:  LinkedinYouTubeInstagramPinterestTikTokDigital Dispatch websiteGot something to say?Have a topic you'd like to see covered? Marketing Your Business in a Privacy-Focused World

Ad tech vendors and people who collect “leads” on Zoom Info are in for a real treat soon--and by treat I mean the loss of data that helps to prove your software is worth it. But for the marketers and sales teams actually in the trenches doing the hard work, I’m breaking down why these new privacy doom-and-gloomers are paranoid for nothing. Also on the show are two rockstars: Nicole Glenn of Candor Expedite and Melanie Patterson of Integrity Transit. Both are breaking down passion for connecting with their audience on a deeper level and just being overall business badasses. Follow Cyberly on AppleFollow Cyberly on SpotifyConnect with Blythe on Linkedin Melanie Patterson on Instagram and LinkedinMelanie’s companies: Integrity Transit, Integrity Knowledge CenterNicole Glenn on LinkedinNicole’s company: Candor ExpediteFollow the Ladies Leadership Coalition on Linkedin...

Pitfalls and Perks of Working With Trucking Influencers

Since social media’s inception, drivers have had an incredibly strong presence across all channels. Whether it’s Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and now Tiktok, truckers dominate the space. So with recruiting and retention of drivers within the industry being an issue for a variety of factors, I always wondered why carriers and hiring firms don’t utilize influencers within the industry more. Now going back to the show topic….the phrase “influencer” might cause you to roll your eyes. But the quote/unquote word “influencer” has always been around and driven decisions we make. Therefore in this show, I’m pulling two interviews we recently conducted on Cyberly where I got to interview Tom Authenthaler of The Influence Marketer to discuss how businesses can start with influencer marketing. And then we’ve got Wanye Cragg who’s been sharing his experiences on the road as a trucking influencer for years. Show Links: Follow Cyberly on AppleFollow Cyberly on SpotifyTom’s LinkedinTom’s Website: The Influence MarketerWayne Cragg on Tiktok, LinkedinWayne's website: Wayne Cragg PhotographyTips for Measuring Truck Driver Recruiting~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Where to Find Digital Dispatch & Blythe:  LinkedinYouTubeInstagramPinterestTikTokDigital Dispatch websiteGot something to say?Have a topic you'd like to see covered? The Power of Curiosity with Tim Dooner of Freightwaves’ What the Truck?!?

You know him as “Dooner” and probably have heard his name mentioned in some form or fashion amongst logistics media as a whole. And that’s because he’s been pulling a traditionally “boring” industry into the mainstream with his coverage on one of the top business podcasts in Apple~What the Truck?!?To produce great content you have to be inherently curious at a deep personal level. And then apply that curiosity every day while staying on top of the latest news. Dooner excels at both of these things so it’s not surprising that in just a few years since joining the Freightwaves team, he dominates for every show where he sits down with a microphone. I finally got a chance to get Dooner on the pod and he does not disappoint. Here are some things you’ll learn in this episode: How he set up an interview with Freightwaves CEO and founder Craig Fuller in hopes it would eventually lead to a job offer (spoiler alert: it did)How his experience as a customer, broker, sales, and marketing director helps his perspective when he’s covering the logistics industry Why curiosity is his superpowerOut of more than 500+ interviews, learn who is his favorite interview to date (hint: it’s out of this world)Where he gets his content inspiration And on a serious note, how being open with his alcohol addiction has helped so many folks in private deal with their own struggles.  Links from the show: Dooner’s TwitterDooner’s LinkedinWhat the Truck?!? Digital marketing tips for 3PL’s to attract new customers and drivers

Eric over at Specialized Logistics is like a lot of 3PLs–they launched a website within the last few years, shot a few videos, and even tried their hand at some social media advertising. But after spending more than $5,000, they honestly didn’t see much from any of those efforts. And I can speak from personal experience that […]...
