I’ve mentioned a few times on previous episodes about how freight has gone mainstream.
But there’s still so much of the logistics process that I don’t fully grasp yet. And the maritime silo is one of them.
By definition, the maritime industry is “everything connected to the sea or waterways throughout the world–especially in relation to navigation, shipping, and marine engineering."
Which the definition itself doesn’t strike any level of excitement to everyday people—but it should.
Because this interview with Kevin Naakao is such an interesting dive into that world!
It’s one of those interviews that as soon as the show was over, I was hype because Kevin was able to break down a complex industry into stories about pirates, fishermen, satellites, and how 90% of all goods travel via ship.
